The rest of the world can disagree; particularly after the fighters have been removed from power.

After WW II, the US made a greal deal of use of former Nazi's to fight the Russians. But generally, the US was rather quiet about it. I'm not sure what awards Werner Von Braun earned for his efforts in the US space program, but I can't help but suspect he'd be much more recognized had he been on the Allied side all along instead of a converted Nazi.

He turned over to the US after the war and coloured relations with the Soviets . The initial plan by the Nazis had been to colonize Russia and use the natives as slaves. After the failure to capture Moscow, the Nazis realized that they needed the Ukranians, etc, so changed their attitude to them. A regular has to be in uniform, at the very least carry a well visible armband; and has to be under civilian command; even if this is a militia raised by the local town council, commanded by the mayor. -- mrr

By most definitions, whether it is factual or nonfactual is not a core issue, though propaganda is certainly not worrying about telling you "the whole story" and suggests "disreputable". Propaganda is designed to influence you, to sway you. Much advertising would qualify (certainly political TV ads). Propaganda might be lies, or carefully selected truths, or half-truths, or emotional stuff that doesn't get factual enough to rate on a truth scale. Have a look at the front page of your newspaper, if it's a national story that includes the word "Washington" odds are good it involves somebody's propaganda.
