I don't want to antagonize you, so I won't respond to the issues in the
above comments.

The ROM is the same size as the RAM, 64 words.

There is *no* 18 bit address bus in an F18. The present design has a 9
bit B address register and a 10 bit instruction pointer of which the msb
is a flag indicating the add instruction is extended precision. In
theory the 18 bit A register could be used to drive an 18 bit bus, but
in reality only 9 bits are decoded.

Steve, I really don't want to give you a hard time, but I don't think
you understand the strengths and weaknesses of the F18 design. It is
not the ultimate solution to all computing needs and will likely never
make much of a high end graphics processor. It is an interesting
concept with rather limited applications. Personally I'm looking
forward to seeing some applications implemented on the chip to see just
what it might be capable of.

I still have an idea of making one into a low end oscilloscope someday.
But it will need a high speed USB interface which will require adding
a whole 'nother MCU which makes you wonder why the GA144 is in there at
all... But a combination of the GA144 and a low power FPGA might make a
very interesting gadget. All sorts of I/O can be done in an FPGA what
with flexible I/O voltages and lots of internal RAM, etc...
