It's not my mother tongue, but I can speak and write it.  Don't paste 
the above into Google translate, it translates it to nonsense.  Thanks 
to UTF-8 and Xchars, you can have 8 bit chars in Forth-200x, and still 
have messages in whatever language of the world you like.  Of course, 
dealing with Xchars is still more complicated than dealing with wide 
characters, but in a controller:

All the time, if you use UTF-8.  The controller just TYPEs the messages, 
the terminal renders the correct characters.  That's the good part about 
XChars and UTF-8: If you just have canned messages to be TYPEd in your 
controller, you don't need to implement anything, and it just works.

This "application-level issue" thing is nonsense.  What do you want to 
achieve with a programming language if not writing applications?  Maybe 
you should rename your Forth to "Wanker Forth", as it is only intented 
for self-satisfaction.
