Your help, as always, Paul, is invaluable! THANK YOU! 🙂

You will be pleased to learn that I now have Microsoft Windows 10
up-and-running on the old Dell laptop. It's doing things FAR more
quickly than when it was first handed to me and I tried to make Windows
run better - but couldn't! That was the main reason for installing Linux
in the first place!

I have used Dell "Support Assist" with the following findings:-
https://i.ibb.co/gjwkfGW/IMG-3072.jpg

I downloaded and installed all of them, including the BIOS change!
I'm now carrying out Windows Update and installing all the items found.

This has been an interesting exercise, taking me back to my days with
using Windows 95 and before! In comparison, my Apple iMac works like a
dream! 🙂

Warm regards,

David
