For my problem, linux detected two devices, but didn't handle the 
digital audio properly.

For your problem, linux is only detecting one device; but I'm suspecting 
that there is another device undetected by linux but detected and 
implemented by Win, and that device like mine is digital.

Since right now we don't have access to the previous W10 install, we 
could use a Ventoyed Hiren's PE either the earlier W11 or the archived 
W10 ref'd previously.

We can use its device manager to look at the hardware and compatibility 
id/s.  If the device manager only shows one device, namely the Sunrise 
Point-LP HD, then my 2 device theory is wrong.
