In a OEM W10 on my Lenovo:

R click Start, click Device Manager. My Audio inputs and outputs doesn't 
have anything useful for this discussion, but Sound, video, and game 
controllers does.

On my system, that showed two devices, an AMD Hi Def Audio and a Realtek 
Hi Def.  Selecting AMD and R click, then Properties and next the Details 
tab and next the Hardware ids from the arrow function in Property, there 
is a pane w/ 2 HDAudio func 01 items to look over and find my chip-ID. 
I also look at the compatibility ids in that menu.

So far, we don't have a report of 2 devices on BDB's Dell; he hasn't yet 
reported anything but the inxi, not yet a linux lshw and lspci; and not 
yet a W10 device mgr, which has to be dug into details & hardware ids & 
comptible ids to find device info.

In my case, the linux inxi DID show 2 devices and I was able to 
reconcile the W10 device mgr info w/ the linux info.

In BDB's case, we don't yet have enough info to propose a boot parameter 
to hopefully get compatibility w/ some as yet unknown device, as I was 
able to do w/ the radeon.audio.

As another boot parameter example we don't have any evidence for yet:

options snd-intel-dspcfg dsp_driver=1

... and in the case of that dsp_driver, it has more than one value, such 
as =3 when appropriate.
