Yes, because you use some sort of "current object".

When you want to do something with an object, use >o and o>. This doesn't
sound too difficult to remember...

The only way to see advantages and disadvantages is to try solve your own
problems. I've never seen much advantages from just reading small examples.
Simple examples like oofsampl.fs are usually simple in all kinds of OOP
systems.

Not quite sure what you mean. In Forth, we are used to many "implicit"
things, as we have unnamed parameters on the stack and things like that.
The question is: do you factor your OOP code so that methods from a class
frequently call other methods of the same class? I do. This is the Forth
way of programming, and therefore the THIS is the most likely target of an
object. As there already is an implicit THIS pointer for instance variables
(which should only be accessed from within the class, i.e. encapsulation),
there is no point *not* using this for method invocations, either.

If you talk to another object, you change context, and >o o> (or with ..
endwith if you like that names better) make it visible.

For me, an object is a sort of "context". You have instance variables and
methods that work in the context of the object. It is also very common that
when you interact with a particular object, you'll be sending more than one
message to it. You don't say "thing print", you more likely say "thing
initialize thing populate thing manipulate thing print". Or

thing >o initialize populated manipulate print o>

Maybe with some parameters on the stack for the stuff you do.

The term is multi-messaging, and it is fairly convenient if a language has
that thing.
