My favorite method to make a Ventoy is via the linux web GUI for which 
you can use your Dell's Ub; it doesn't need sound :-)

dl the ventoy linux tar.gz & check the sha256

In Ub, I don't think the file manager can be induced to do the hash by 
point & click, but if you R click in the dir/folder where you dl the 
tar.gz you can open a terminal there and do sha256sum v and press tab 
and the tab completion will put in the rest of the filename to make 
sha256sum ventoy-1.0.99-linux.tar.gz to get a value to compare w/ the 
value at the ventoy page.  Your fm is Nautilus in Ub.

and you should remember how to open a terminal in the dir/folder where 
your target is by navigating there w/ your fm/filemanager you can also 
use the tab completion to perform the commands seen at the link above.

A problem I have w/ the default configuration of a browser in a live 
linux (or a new install) is that its settings are configured to download 
into the Downloads dir while on a live I may not want dl there so I 
change the browser's settings for Downloads.  Somehow in your earlier 
posts somewhere I noticed that your downloads land in the Desktop dir. 
As long as you know where things are going, you can navigate to where 
they land.

I don't normally use Gnome DE for anything, so I'm not as familiar w/ 
the names of its tools, such as the Archive manager (maybe File roller).

In any case, after you've decompressed the ventoy tar.gz, you can use 
your fm to navigate to the dir those files landed to open a terminal 
there to do the command for the VentoyWeb.sh file.
