Yes, coroutines were an integral part of the way Tripos worked. All the system tasks, console handler, file handler, network handler, were internally a collection of coroutines. The CLI originally ran any commands as subordinate coroutines, I believe AmigaDOS eventually ran commands as separate tasks to more closely duplicate Unix. Tripos coroutines were essentially cooperative threads, each had a stack and a control block. Unlike threads, transfer of control between coroutines was explicit, to a specific destination coroutine.
