Guck dir mal in de.sci.mathematik die Debatten der Leute an, die sich 
dort über die mathematischen Formen der Unendlichkeit (alias: 
mengentheoretische Begründbarkeit der Zahlentheorie) streiten. Da tritt 
jede Menge 'Anschaulichkeit' zutage, nämlich bei der Begründung der 
angeblich 'unanschaulich abstrakten' Grundbegriffe.

Aus welchen Axiomen welcher Mathematik konstruiert man wie die Begriffe:
- 'widerspruchsfrei'
- 'einfach'
- 'hinreichend'
Wenden Sie sie danach bitte auf Schrödingers Katze an!

Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere, dann wurde die Infinitesimalrechnung von 
Newton und Leibniz explizit für den Gebrauch in der klassischen Mechanik 
bzw. für die Entwicklung derselben geschaffen. Man kann diese Historie 
bis heute in jeder Grundvorlesung Physik nachvollziehen: dort wird 
dieser mathematische Apparat für genau diesen Zweck in wenigen Wochen 
halbanschaulich entwickelt und sofort angewendet, während parallel dazu 
sich die Voll-Mathematiker mit seiner axiomatischen Variante 
semesterlang abquälen müssen.

Daß die der Alltagsanschauung entnommenen Konzepte der 'Stetigkeit', 
'Differenzierbarkeit', 'universellen Zeit', 'Teilchen', 'Welle' etc. 
letztlich NICHT grundlegende Eigenschaften einer 'Natur' widerspiegeln, 
wurde ab den ersten Jahrzehnten des 20.Jhd. anhand experimenteller 
Befunde klar, zwang zu neuen Ansätzen, und drängte die alten in 
begrenzte Bereiche zurück.

(daß sich Mathematiker immer wieder auch etwas ausdenken, was nicht auf 
direkte Anwendung - egal ob technisch oder zur Naturbeschreibung - 
abzielt, widerspricht nicht der Aussage, daß die Grundideen der 
beobachteten Realität entstammen).
