Sadly, the news here is reporting that yet another 20 children have 
drowned, and at least as many adults.

Also, according to that report:

   'Separately, three more children's bodies found'

   'yesterday, 12 drowned, including children'

So while the mainstream media consider the bigger death-toll worthy of 
report, it seems that smaller numbers of people are still dying in the 
cold winter Mediterranean and go unreported. Presumably such deaths are 
so frequent that it has become as background noise. Yet the drownings 
continue.

As I said before, IMO the current EU policy effectively encouraging 
migrants to make the journey is causing deaths. Mrs Merkel's invitation 
may have been well intentioned but it was utterly irresponsible.

Of course, ISIL has also promised to flood Europe with its jihadis. I 
expect most of those arrange that they have safe travel to Europe's shores.

As you can probably tell, I am incredulous at some of the decisions that 
are being made by EU politicians.

As if that's not enough, based on other reports, the main concern of EU 
leaders about the migrant crisis seems to be the effect it may have on 
the EU club rather than how to save people. For example,
