Die größten Vorkommen sind in Bolivien, Argentinien und Chile.
Dort wird Lithium durch Verdunsten aus Grundwasser gewonnen.
Andere Gewinnungsarten spielen bisher keine Rolle.

Diese Vorkommen (in Deutschland) sind im Vergleich zu den Vorkommen der Länder
mit den größten Vorkommen - belanglos, unbedeutend.
