I was asking who would be the best President for you, of the choices available. I think you basically answered. What did you think of the following? Of the US Presidents who have had the office during my adult lifetime, from this side of the pond Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton seem to have had a good reputation (er, for their political work), and kept it after being in office. We had Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair who were both remarkable PMs. By contrast, I cannot see anyone either here or there at the moment who appears to be of similar stature. At the last UK election the primary choice was between David Cameron (intelligent but deceptive and dangerous) and Ed Miliband (well meaning, possibly, but naive and having no answers). I miss the days of good British and American leaders. They are much needed right now - not so much on domestic issues, though such issues are always important, but on international policy. All the main free-world leaders seem to be either afraid or clueless as to what to do. James
