A few years ago I was trying and failing to locate stores on a
franchise's store locator webpage, which would have worked if
they'd just had a list of addresses in plain HTML instead of the JS
Google map. I at least got a laugh when it displayed an error
message from the Google Maps API which obviously wasn't supposed to
be user-visible, followed by a note something like this:

"Tired of fighting the Google Maps API? Try our SaaS offering!"
