IIRC, it was there when you first ran your iPad. At least it was on the iPad3 and iPad4 we have here. It autostarted in the iPad initial setup sequence but you could skip it. I seem to recall I did just that on the second iPad I set up. According to this; http://ipadacademy.com/ipad-manuals-and-guides/ It was originally accessible via Safari but I notice the link no longer works. That's because it's been relocated; http://help.apple.com/ipad/9/#/iPad9940e497 You can also access it here though; http://demo.tizra.com/iPad_User_Guide/7 Along with other more recent guides. It's not as neat and easy as it was in the original autostart version. My iPad4 originally came with iOS6 or iOS7. I must say though, it's a lot easier to go to the App Store and download the relevant user guide there. Most of the guides relate more to the iOS version than they do to the actual iOS hardware so just select the guide for your current iOS version. Mine is 9.2 so I suspect yours would be too. That said, I have the user guide for iOS7 and that works well enough for me. HTH -- Xeno
