Can somebody tell what drugs Dan is consuming? Every digital circuit works this way. You just have a number of input pins on a integrated curcuit, and a number of output pins. Its just propositional logic. You might have it in your car. Like when there is a little lamp showing you that the engine is in a certain state. There is usually a small time delay between the input pins and the output pins. But these integrated circuits would be pretty useless if the output could not be predicted.
