Yes, Tesla's cars do have limited ranges and are difficult to recharge
outside "lucky" locations - try to find a "Supercharger station" in
Wickville (pop. 20) or outback Australia for example.
Just like all other portable technology, the electric car is simply a
joke thanks to the hopelessness of battery technology - the limited
capacity, the slowness of recharging them, and the fact the batteries
wear out and have to be expensively replaced. They're only really
useful for the "little old lady who only drives two blocks to church
and back on quiet Sunday mornings".
There's also the fact that power companies in many countries are
already complaining about not having enough electricity to power
current needs (despite the fact that most of them make massive annual
profits!).
