Im Fall von Einstein hast Du insofern Recht, als dass Einstein einen Gott nicht aus seinen Überlegungen ausschloss; es war allerdings der Gott Spinozas: ein Gott, der die Welt erschaffen haben mag oder auch nicht und sich durch sie zeigt, aber der nicht in sie eingreift und mit dem man auch keine persönliche Beziehung haben kann (Pantheismus). Einstein nannte diesen Gott deshalb gern scherzhaft „der Alte“, zum Beispiel in seinem (belegten) Ausspruch zur Quantenmechanik, die er für unzutreffend hielt: „Der Alte würfelt nicht.“ (Unter anderem dies kann man in dem Stanford-Kurs auch über Einstein lernen, wobei er sich mit der Person Einstein aber nur bis einschliesslich zur SRT befasst.
