Okay, so one time? In band camp? JF Mezei <jfmezei.spamnot@vaxination.ca> was all, like: --> Thu, 31 Jul 2014 12:37:32 -0400 <53da70cd$0$61262$c3e8da3$5e5e430d@news.astraweb.com> > On 14-07-31 09:51, Michelle Steiner wrote: >> I am totally confused now; I can't find a Filters button anywhere in >> the Photo app. > Because it isn't named "filters". > http://www.vaxination.ca/temp/filters.jpg And that is not the photos app. > I even put an arrow to make it easy for you to know what I am talking about. Tapping that button turns on the filters. Tapping the button again turns them off. That's about as simple as anything in life gets. -- A closed mouth gathers no feet.

There are some, but not numerous. Of course those terms are nebulous, so there's really no way to determine which of us is right. Frankly, I don't particularly care for the new flattened icons in Yosemite, but I don't find them objectionable, nor a reason not to use Yosemite.

Yet there are tons of USB wireless full keyboards. So, there IS a market, but not a bluetooth one. That's what I'm trying to figure out. All I can think of is not enough Windows computers come with bluetooth for companies that don't target Macs to bother. Just in case you haven't seen this -
http://kbtalkingusa.com
But, they now say they're sold out, until the next batch comes along.
And, the keypad is one key short of ANSI happiness. Long ago I asked
about that -
| other than the existing layout, we cannot customize the keys to
| something different due to how these keyboards are manufactured.
They also said -
| Mac keycaps are included. All you need to do is use the keycap puller
| to pull up the std ones and put the mac ones there. And just make sure
| to enter Mac mode (Fn+Mac/iOS key) once and it will remain in that mode
| until you change it to another mode, if ever.
Cherry keyswitches are reasonably decent, by the way.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. what's to figure out? apple makes a non-extended bluetooth keyboard that sells better than their older extended bluetooth keyboard. for those who still want extended keyboards, they can buy a third party one or find apple's old used wireless keyboard. > All I can think of is not enough Windows computers come with bluetooth > for companies that don't target Macs to bother. (Even Logictech sells a > wireless USB full keyboard which mirrors Apple's wired one, yet no > bluetooth) there's nothing mac specific about a bluetooth keyboard. it's a standard human interface device (hid) and works on any system that supports the hid profile, which includes computers and smartphones. if a system lacks bluetooth (what kind of crap system doesn't have bluetooth?), then a bluetooth dongle can be added for very little money.

A keyboard unwired is not as handy as a mouse unwired. My keyboard sits on a desk and seems happy enough, its tail going back under the monitor. It did try once to escape, a few years back, I sat down to find out what was making it so unhappy? It turned out that I don't eat at the desk and it is jealous of its mates who have owners dropping them crumbs. I promised to fix it, this is the deal I offered, if it tries to escape again, I will get an axe and silence its cheeky big-mouth. -- dorayme

In my last abode I found a wireless keyboard very handy because I could easily put it on one side when not in use. That's not an issue with my current setup so a wired keyboard is fine. -- The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese. The early mouse is now a late mouse of course.

I bought my wireless keyboard in late February; I paired it once, and haven't had to pair it again, even after turning it off and on, or turning the computer off and on. I haven't had to recharge the batteries yet; it uses two AA batteries. Not much farting around.
