though, CS is a fairly small/unpopular major, so the college didn't 
really care (and was actually considering dropping it as pretty much the 
entirety of the CS students could fit in a single room).

much bigger majors there were:
   nursing;
   criminal justice / paralegal / ...;
   sports medicine;
   graphics arts;
   ...

where I am currently at, the "Mechatronics" program is also pretty small 
(about 16 students in total).

the more high-status majors here are:
   nursing;
   cosmetology (hair, nails, makeup, ...);
   automotive repair (engine mechanics, body-repair, ...);
   ...
