OK Ignore that comment, call it a moment of frustration, as I had 
already tried all sorts of combinations including every conceivable way 
of pinging things.

I wouldn't exactly say I'm looking for a quick fix, as this MythFrontEnd 
has been giving me grief for months now, so I do get frustrated with it 
from time to time. (or quite a lot actually). I'd love to be able to 
just hand it all over to a Linux expert, but haven't been able to find one.

Actually I think I've more or less solved the networking issue now. I 
think something else keeps overloading my router, probably the torrent 
client on my other machine.

Next, back to the frustration of trying to figure out the TV-Output 
configuration. That is something I seem to have spent hours trying to 
figure out, but still don't have the 1st clue what I'm doing. Which is 
extremely frustrating, but I suppose I have no choice other than to keep 
trying.
