Sorry, it's not a make option, but a gcc option.  My example made that
clear anyways.

Make is always working. You can always run it in a linux box. Possibly
even on a Linux Virtual Box!

System construction is basically outside of the scope of the C language.
It's not outside of the scope of some other languages.
Perhaps you should change the language?

If your compiler infers the sources to be compiled from the #include,
then it's doing something wrong that is not specified in C.
