A native executable requires a CPU.

Java byte code requires a JVM.

Remember that VM mean Virtual Machine.

The terms compiled language and interpreted language are very fuzzy.

The only reason that you don't need to install something
is that Android ships with a VM.

Or did ship. Dalvik was a true VM. ART is more of an extra compilation
to native.
