Yes, agreed. There's a fair amount of research been done on this and the 
number of lines of written, clean compiled *and unit tested* code 
produces by an individual programmer is remarkably constant regardless of 
the language being used. This is the main reason productivity rises as 
you progress along the sequence:

	assembler -> C/COBOL/Java etc -> 4GL
