Well, if centripedal force was not meant with F, that what else was actually meant??? I mean: wouldn't it be nice if the writer tells the reader, which physical situation he wants to describe with an equation? I have actually scratched my head and thought, that circular motion would somehow fit to the equation and the author simply forgot to mention this. Now I'm told, this would not be the case, but still not, what else was meant. I would regard this as a little rude. But still I try to figure out, which physical situation was meant with d²r(t)/dt² = F/m = v²/R if not circular motion. spirals would be a possibility, because than 'r' could be interpreted as radius, which changes in a spiral. But actually 'R' is already the radius, hence 'radius' is not an option for 'r'. Other common uses for 'r' is 'position vector' (here of a material point in circular motion). But vectors were excluded already. So I'm kind of stuck and still the author does not tell me, what he had in mind. >> >> But instead of telling me now, what he had in mind, he spits out insults >> again. > > The point being, you do not understand physics enough to understand what he > said, though it is plain to those even mildly conversant in physics. Sure, but magnitudes should be positive. And if we have only positive values, than how we manage to get rid of the minus sign? And if we allow negative values, then how we justify those? I mean, acceleration into the y-direction should be positive (because it is actually an acceleration into this direction). Mass should be positive, too, and all the other values as well. here is the equation again: -d²y/dt²=epsilon/m* v/c * N * sqrt(1- v²/c²) Now, which part of the right side should be made negative and for what reason? > > Honestly, Thomas, if this is the kind of silly mistake you’re going to make > again and again, then you might as well give up. You fail to say, what the 'silly mistake' was. >> >> And the d²x/dt² part is missing here, too, because a circle has two >> components, but the equations contains only one. You failed to comment this part of my critique, too. In a curved motion we have a decelation in the origional direction (here the x-direction) and an acceleration perpendicular. But why didn't mention Einstein the x-component??? (or can you find that here: -d²y/dt²=epsilon/m* v/c * N * sqrt(1- v²/c²) TH
