why take the risk at all, when a compatible method exists?

just because you haven't had any problems with tables and other office
documents doesn't mean that others haven't or that problems don't
exist.

over a *billion* people use office, so not widely used at all, assuming
your numbers are accurate, which is unlikely.

documents can be exchanged without issue.
