Did you mean LOGO or BASIC? You could also try Lego's. The
process of programming is the same. How do you put the pieces
together to achieve a desired result?

What revelation? That Windows sucks to program? It's not much of
a "revelation" if everyone knows about it in advance. Sorry
Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Microsoft, ...

Yes.

After I program one, it expressed my thoughts... My thoughts are
thoughts. Since it has thoughts, it must be thinking. How could
it have thoughts and not think? So, yeah, it thinks... What do
you think about that? That's a joke.

Oh, you meant on their own. Well, you know better than that. ;-)

"Thinking" computers are programmed with large databases of results
or large rule and relationship sets, i.e., "thoughts" or
"conclusions," which when sufficiently large or robust, provide the
illusion of computer thought, simply because the computer arrived
at the same conclusion as you. But, they aren't thinking, they're
searching. A large part of thinking is about coming to a correct
conclusion when the correct outcome is unknowable or unprovable in
advance. Another large part of thinking is determining the correct
order of a multi-step process without trial-and-error, without
using brute-force, without testing all possible combinations.

Seriously, if they must be programmed to reach a conclusion, then
they clearly can't think. They must be self-programming to learn,
adapt, or come to new conclusions from thinking. I would also dare
say that thinking comes just prior to developing self-awareness.
E.g., animals think, even those that aren't self-aware. Did you
teach your dog to dig that hole or chase ducks? No. Ducks fly,
walk, land, take off. How do they decide to do that without
thinking? Even with a group of ducks that mostly follows each
other around, one must be a leader to get somewhere. Is it merely
instinct or a decision - an expression of thought - a conclusion?
That's debatable. So, anyway, the level of computing power
necessary to create thought is just not available today, if you're
looking for intellect comparable to a human.
