I could see where a block editor might be handy even as a general 
purpose editor, specially in embedded systems where the CPUs keep having 
more and more memory, some up to 2 Megabytes, plenty for programs and 
locally edit some files with a simple editor which might be faster than 
downloading the whole source from a PC.
