I wasn't even thinking about hex digits.  While trying things out or
testing with Forth it's pretty convenient to use one-letter names for
symbols.  There are already a few in use but adding more seems a bit
annoying.

OTOH, I didn't know that B was used by Forth systems historically, so I
guess that helps.
