Well, OK, so you are saying that math and predictions are useless. So at 
this point I'll just comment that the requirement to be able to 
calculate and to be able to test your hypothesis by making predictions 
has been the heart and soul of natural science since Galileo. It is not 
ancillary to science, it is CENTRAL to science.

Since you obviously think that's horseshit, then all you're saying is 
that you don't think much of science and its methods. You're not a big 
fan of the scientific method.

And if that's the case, then why are you posting to a discussion group 
for fans of science?

Well, interestingly enough, that is also a well-known principle in 
physics today, and general relativity reflects this.

You're right, particles do not solve equations as they move. They just 
obey the rules of nature. The rules of nature, as it turns out, are all 
fundamentally steeped in various categories of symmetry that nature has. 
It's been proven (as in, rigorous mathematical proof) by Noether that 
every conservation law is tied to some category of symmetry in nature. 
So you are right, in that
     physical laws <==> symmetries <==> conservation rules

Do you know the symmetry that general relativity is based on?

Did you know that the first physicist to recognize the power of 
symmetries in nature was Einstein?
