I'm not crazy about that term either. Notice that I put it in quotation 
marks. I also don't like "social distancing."

Twitter."

I started using usenet around 1994. But I started with computer bulletin 
boards earlier, around 1986.

I don't like the ribbons either, but I I've learned to tolerate them. 
Unfortunately, Microsoft often tries impose its new way of doing things 
on people without giving them a choice. If I were in charge of 
Microsoft, even if I personally liked ribbons, I would not have imposed 
it on everyone using Office, but just made it a choice. The same with 
where Microsoft positions the cursor in its e-mail programs; they should 
have made it a choice
