BTW: didn't you know, that at that time he worked in Princeton there was also WWII and the Germans and US-citizens with German ancestors in the USA were looked into POW-camps. With whom could he possibly talk German in that time? But also daily life would be easier, if you speak the language of your new home country. So, why didn't he learns English in ten years, if he was so intelligent? ... TH
