Keep in mind I am the only one who has shown actual price comparisons...
ones not made by me or you or anyone in the Usenet groups we are a part of.
They are, admittedly, outdated though.

Overall Macs are ABOUT the same price as PCs when you include all the
hardware and software. Does not mean you cannot put more into the PCs
hardware you want and just not include the hardware you do not.

Do you want both wireless and wired network hardware? On an iMac you have
it. Do you want IR input? You have it on a Mac even if you do not want it.
Want a webcam? Even if not you have it. Want an office suite? Even if not,
or even if you use one other than what Apple provided it is still there.

So you can make the argument that based on the specs you want and the
flexibility of the market in general, tied to Apple's limited flexibility in
what you can buy, you can get a computer you like for less than what Apple
charges. I have no argument with that.

But if you look at COMPARABLE systems, which might not even be a reasonable
metric for what YOU want, then Macs are priced reasonably based on most
price comparisons.
