Rather, I was including it because I thought it would provide a helpful base image (sort of a raw video output), that could be used to compare with the final outputted NTSC version. It clearly shows off some of the oddities in the way the apple II stores graphics in memory, such as blue only existing in even columns. The image on the right shows what happens once the video is sent out to an analog display (in this case a crt television). Single pixels of blue sort of smudge out into soft, wide pixels and the gaps between columns becomes less apparent. I'm assuming due to the analog nature of the NTSC signal and crt display. The confusion might be what you are calling a column. A column is not a byte. Enter this to see if I understand you correctly. ]CALL-151 *2000:94 8A *2400:94 8A *2800:94 8A *2C00:94 8A *3000:94 8A As you can see, blue pixels can be displayed in odd numbered bytes.
