I'd first just check for a price tag on another similar item. Or see if
the display itself has the price somewhere.

I know. But as they say: There's more than one way to skin a cat.

I'm not a big app user. My needs are simple. I use the phone mostly as
a phone with some texting. I rarely go to the web with it. Don't play
games. Don't even have any installed. And with a 4.75" screen it's too
small to use as an eBook reader. (I have a dedicated reader for that.
Better.) In fact, I've disabled/removed over a dozen apps simply
because I had no use for them, and don't need updates taking up limited
storage space. I've only installed a couple: GMail's dedicated one & a
better camera & image viewer although I rarely take pictures. It's
just the default ones left much to be desired, and I needed a
camera/viewer app for those rare times I need a camera/viewer.

I NEVER will set my phone up to use as a pay device -- for security
reasons. All those private numbers that have to be stored on it. Yes,
it may be convenient, but when your whole life is on one device, if
someone hacks you . . . Or it breaks . . . To each, his own, I guess.

There's a chain supermarket in my city that delivers! Items same price
as in the store, and delivery charge is minimal flat rate or free, if
you order at least $150. Now, that's convenience. Don't have to know
where in the store the items are. Don't have to drive there and
back. Don't have to waste time wandering around. Etc. Someone else
does all that for you.

The store has a phone app, too, but I prefer a 24" monitor. I'd go
blind using the phone. ;-)

My primary requirement for any phone (with a thin "grip" sleeve on it)
is it MUST fit comfortably in my pants pocket without being damaged
if I forget to remove it when I sit down. The phone I have now with
its 4.75" screen is the largest that fits the bill. Although, I was
looking in the 4 to 4.25" screen range. Found some, but they didn't
meet other requirements. I don't know what's going to be available in a
few years when this one needs replacing. All I do know is they'll
be BIG. Pants with cargo pockets?
