usb input? Easy enough to put the distro installation on a usb.

Since it has graphics why not just plug in a monitor and usb install
onthe atom?

It would probably be tricky since most installation scripts look at what
they are being installed on, and adjust accordingly.

A full session, or just X programs running on the desktop GUI?
The latter is easy-- just ssh in and run the X program. The former I do
not know.
