	Indeed Linus Torwalds had no idea of the technical elite.  He wanted
a Unix-like system to run on his i386 back in his University days.  That
was his motivation.  GNU is still working on the HURD kernel but they
gladly shared their work with the new Linux Kernel.  You can
look around a bit if you are a "technical elite" and find a distribution
trying to use what they have gotten done so far.

	I am not a person that anyone would call an "elite" though
being white in the USA gives you some perogatives that people of
better skin color found more difficult to access in my youth.  That
is why I got a Commodore 64 in the 1980s and an Amiga in the
1990s. I will admit to having a knack with some matters but
I had a career as a licensed nurse before I had to retire.

	At PCLinuxOS Users forum we have some technical elite and
they are doing their own kernels using latest source and finding
out how it works with the rest of PCLinuxOS.
