The C/C++ SDK does take a little while in the first build to download 
stuff but it's fast after that. I also use the Arduino core and once 
you've downloaded Earl Philtower's RP2040 packages the compilation is very 
fast. I use arduino-cli and the 'arduino-cli upload ...' takes several 
seconds.
