  Our hospital stuff is all online as well (with the possibility of
downloading stuff if you want). They use a 2FA system which is used to
access government systems (like taxes) and many other organizations (no
companies). (DigiD <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DigiD>)

  We have a system where I can specify which - or which group of -
health care provider(s) can (is/are allowed to) exchange information
with which other provider(s). It can be somewhat of a pain, but privacy
doesn't go without some pain.

  Indeed. And many things with QR or similar codes. Boarding passes,
(other) public transport, movie theaters, exhibitions, lab tests, etc.,
etc..

  BUT, if your phone breaks (as mine did, intermittent hardware
crashes), it can be quite a problem. So for important stuff, I copy
things from my phone to my wife's and vice versa.
