Actually it's Mythbuntu, The o was a typo. It's basically Ubuntu 10.10 
with a graphical environment and with MythTV installed. I've set it so 
that MythTV doesn't automatically load, while I try to deal with this 
problem.

Perhaps I should do some Googling to try and find out how to do this in 
Ubuntu.

No idea how to stop the graphical stuff starting up. I may have to 
Google that one.

That may be an idea. I'll have to do a bit more experimenting an 
Googling over the next few days.
