So you still believe you know best but are still having an issue. Do 
what you were asked to do and report back. Stop saying everything I 
state is poppycock as it's quite obvious to most here that I have made a 
serious attempt to help you. You have responded with answers like try 
again, no it's not that, without giving any examples of the steps you 
have taken to resolve the issue or given any reasonable details of the 
make and model of your motherboard so that a reasonable tech could give 
you proper assistance.

As several people have said, look at the event logs when you plug in the 
dongle or the mouse into the front ports.

I have no such delusions. I'm paid very well to be a high level computer 
technician / network technician and have the runs on the board.

Only for the foolish. The only updated drivers you should install are 
those from the manufacturer of your motherboard or in the case of a 
proprietary system such as a Dell, HP, Asus, or Lenovo the company 
website. Using a driver updater program can lead to many issues.
