So your eof() method returns a bogus empty line when there's nothing
more to be read. As opposed to the usual idiomatic C way to read text,
which clearly distinguishes between an empty line (which is valid input)
and either end-of-file or an error condition.
I'm having trouble seeing how your eof() method is an improvement over
controlling an input loop by checking the result returned by the input
function.
And since you *still* haven't shown a example of a C program using your
eof() method, this will probably never be resolved.
