I had wanted to do maths, physics and chemistry. The single maths teacher was excellent, and I knew that. However, I got what I got. I did badly in the exams, re-took the following year, and went to a different university. That was 1970, and I'm still here! Met my wife here too, so it all worked out for the best (I think...)
