I don't know how current your snapshot is, but the code above now
looks as follows:

That code is still there, but I cannot even load tasker.fs.
In any case, Gforth multitasking relies on OS multithreading (not as
scalable as Erlang). The main reason is that we are using blocking
system calls for I/O. We have discussed whether we should switch to
non-blocking system calls in order to do more (or anything) in the
Forth scheduler, but have concluded not to go there for now (I don't
remember what the decisive argument was).
