You've probably seen Paul Graham's article about the Blub Paradox (if
not, web search should find it quickly) where he describes Lisp as the
top of an infinite tower of conceivable languages, and therefore the One
Language To Rule Them All.  And of course, yes, it -is- at the top of an
infinite tower just the way he says, but really in math that's just
called a limit ordinal, and there are infinitely more beyond it.  I.e.
Haskellers know that Lisp is just another Blub, and so on.  So that's an
alternate analogy to a local maximum.  I can see a case for Forth being
the same way.

I haven't been that deeply engrossed in Forth so far, but I do feel like
I've gotten something out of it that way.
