Es gibt allerdings ein Problem damit: So ein Triebwerk müsste prompt kritisch betrieben werden, d.h. die Neutronen, die zu jedem Zeitpunkt erzeugt werden, müssten direkt wieder verbraucht werden, um die Kettenreaktion aufrechtzuerhalten, und nicht mehr und nicht weniger.
