android is a google product. or have you forgotten that part?

there's no need to use maps or other google apps. most non-google apps
include google analytics, and may check location data as well. and
that's in addition to what android, the os, is doing.

tl;dr you're being tracked.

oh yes they can, and do. they're not fooled by a fake account. 

using a custom rom can minimize it (and not without compromises), but
it isn't zero.
