Dann kam Leif Svalgaard und hat ein "Buch" geschrieben, "AS/400 Machine-Level Programming", mit einigen *sehr* interessanten Ausführungen zu (lokalen) Sicherheitslücken bis hin zu OS/400 V4. Findet sich im Netz als PDF. IBM musste daraufhin (mit jedem Release ein bisschen, damit nicht alle existierende Software von jetzt auf Nachher auf die Bretter geht) unter der Haube so einiges umbauen, was das Thema Umzug ohne Quellcode an einige Bedingungen knüpfte. Stichwort "observability" des Codes im resultierenden Programmobjekt. Wenn das fehlte, musste man neu kompilieren. Meistens fehlte es, wegen "Schutz des geistigen Eigentums", aka, wir lassen uns nicht in den Quellcode schauen.
