Da ja allgemein gilt "Was der Bauer nicht kennt, ißt er nicht" ist möglicherweise sogar diese direkte Weiterverwendbarkeit von einmal erworbenem Wissen ein wesentlicher Grund für den Erfolg des IBM PC. Zumindest neben der unglaublichen Menge von 1MB (mehr oder weniger direkt) adressierbarem Speicher.
