(I removed the old JDKs and JREs at the same time.) Is there any way to interrogate the .exe files to be sure? Even if some files are the wrong version, shouldn't I be getting some kind of message SOMEWHERE to tell me what's wrong? If I wrote an IDE that counted on certain things being present before it could start, I'd have my code look for those things and, if things weren't satisfactory, I'd notify the user what was wrong; I wouldn't just fail silently without leaving a clue. The only place I know to look is the command prompt itself (when launching from a command prompt) and the eclipse\configuration folder for .log files. Is there somewhere else that might have error messages that would tell me what's going on here? -- Rhino
